
Michelle Halsey has worked in the project management and IT fields for more than 20 years. Previously she worked for Hewlett-Packard for 16 years before leaving to work full time in training and development in the project management and IT industries. Prior to working for HP she held a variety of roles in several industries, including working as a data analyst, network security manager, research librarian, and many other roles. She teaches a number of college level technology, project management, and web commerce courses at the University of Phoenix as well as teaching certification workshops for the PMP and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt exams.
Michelle has served on the Board of the Western Idaho Chapter of PMI as the VP of Finance since 2012 before moving into the President Election position in 2016. In 2017, she moved to the position of President of the chapter. She received her BS in the Management of Information Systems from Boise State University and a MS in the Management of Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. Additionally, she holds a PMP, Six-Sigma Black Belt, and Certified Scrum Master certifications.
Michelle is a serial entrepreneur, starting and running several companies when not teaching at UOPX or serving as a lead trainer with MSys Training or with Silver City Publications & Training, L.L.C. She owns Silver City Publications & Training, where she delivers and publishes project management, six sigma, and technical training materials.
